In 2008, I launched a group blog called SCIENCEPODCASTERS.ORG to encourage science podcasters to work together to increase awareness of our efforts. Because it is especially hard for independent podcasts to get noticed on iTunes™, our site was open to podcasts of all sizes. The only requirement was producing solid science content on a regular basis and the willingness to post a brief announcement for each episode. Our goal was to drive traffic back to everyone’s sites.

SCIENCEPODCASTERS.ORG was closed down at the end of 2012 because I did not have the time needed to promote it and traffic was disappointing. However, the National Science Foundation now has a site called Science 360 Radio that does an excellent job of finding good science podcasts. I encourage you to visit the site if you are looking for podcasts about science.
